                  www.kynetoncommunitypark.org.au
"A group of dedicated and passionate volunteers who are working towards
establishing a new park and play space in the Kyneton Botanic Gardens.
With support from the Macedon Ranges Shire Council, we will be sourcing
funding for the park and overseeing its design and construction.
Our vision is for a park that compliments its natural surroundings and
offers people of all ages a place to meet, play and be active."

Steps Through Time Mosaic Pavers
12 mosaic pavers will be incorporated into the Kyneton Community Park
space as the first inground community involvement project .  Partnered
by the Kyneton Historical Society, members of the committee will collect
historical memorabilia and record local stories of pleasant times spent in
the park environs over the decades, like weddings, holidays and festivals.
Here's some memories of local identities Leo Ramsdale and Jack Wilmott.
If you have fond memories, please contact us - we'd love to hear from you.

Site Chosen November 2009
The lower half of the Botanical Gardens has been selected as an
appropriate site, and partnerships have been created with the
Friends of Kyneton Botanic Gardens and the Kyneton Historical
Society to ensure a design is adopted that is sensitive to all the
user groups, while extending the established gardens experience.

Publicity has been organised to increase the public's awareness

Community Consultation - June 2009
Community Consultation meetings were carried out in Kyneton
to consider options for the development of a large scale park to
be situated centrally at the most favoured site in the township.
Kathryn presented a mosaic slideshow as the Community Arts
Project Officer of the committee of the Kyneton Community Park.

mums team up for park plan

The available space for the park is quite extensive, with a
proposed budget of half a million dollars or more, so much
fundraising is planned and the hard working team will set about
analysing the legislative requirements, criteria for master plan
design assessment and heritage overlays in the short term.
