MUM Encouraging our three childrens' creativity has been an
enjoyable task. They have offered helpful input as characters in a
few child friendly projects. At seven years old, they each made a
colourful beach, dinosaur and family car mural for the studio.

ORIGINAL Commissioned one-off custom pieces, large or small,
in varying styles make up the majority of the artist's output.
Projects are designed from the clients' desire to obtain a high
quality mosaic art piece with their own personal ideas realised.
SCULPTURE 3 dimensional projects involve covering -
found objects (old and new), light weight honeycomb board,
sand-formed substrates of concrete, foam core board of various
thicknesses and even the inclusion of LEDs for art4ashes.

"Kathryn has set herself the challenge of portraying all of life's achievements and failures in this one piece.
At first glance I though I was looking at two interlocking rings - but further inspection shows it to be a Mobius strip.
The eternal tube DOES suggest biology / chemistry and indeed MATTER that makes up life itself, especially if one
imagines it slowly spinning around. I love rich colours and the subtle gradations from green to blue to purple and
red to orange to yellow. This is such a clever and pleasing piece and answers the brief perfectly." - Martin Cheek.

Regional Arts Australia Volunteer Award Outstanding Contribution
for the Black Saturday Memorial in Kyneton. Over 600 hrs were donated.
IMAGES Transferred photos are used in projects to expand a
story's theme. Here the curvaceous Peter Adams nude is celebrated
in eight small round penny tiles. They become part of the mixed
media three dimensional mosaiced pear, evident at close range.

CLASSES Artanica's Master Class workshop participants in April
2009 on Mount Macedon produced gumleaf tiles filled with semi-
precious gems, glass and shells, each reflecting their maker's
individuality, personality and favourite colour scheme choices.
